Jonathan
E. Shimberg
Jonathan E. Shimberg is an experienced practitioner in
the areas of corporate and commercial law, taxation,
estate planning, probate, and domestic relations.
Mr. Shimberg received his Juris Doctor degree with
High Honors from the Illinois Institute of
Technology--Chicago Kent College of Law in 1974. While in
law school, he received American Jurisprudence prizes for
contracts and conflicts of law.
As a past secretary and vice-chair of the Family Law
Council of the Illinois State Bar Association, Mr.
Shimberg assisted in the drafting and review of proposed
legislation in all family law-related areas, including
marriage, divorce, and domestic violence.
He is also past chair of the Consultants Roundtable.
Currently a member of the Chicago Bar Association. Mr.
Shimberg is a frequent speaker on various business issues
before professional organizations. Together with Linda R.
Crohn, he has facilitated and co-sponsored, in
conjunction with other organizations, a 10-week seminar
entitled, Be Your Own Boss.
Linda
R. Crohn
Linda R. Crohn has achieved wide-ranging expertise in
the areas of corporate law, real estate, and the special
needs of start-up businesses, complemented by her
extensive trial experience.
Ms. Crohn received her Juris Doctor degree from John
Marshall Law School in 1975 and was an assistant public
defender in Lake County, Illinois for 3 1/2 years before
entering private practice.
She is a frequent speaker before various organizations
on a wide range of topics, including women's issues,
business issues, wills and estate planning, divorce, and
starting a business. Ms. Crohn is an active member of the
Illinois State Bar Association.
She has contributed to an Illinois legal forms book
and edited a book on Illinois corporations for a major
legal publisher. Ms. Crohn also has contributed numerous
articles to various publications. Together with Jonathan
E. Shimberg, she has facilitated and co-sponsored, in
conjunction with other organizations, a 10-week seminar
entitled, Be Your Own Boss.
She is currently a Adjunct Professor at Roosevelt
University, teaching law in the Paralegal Studies
Program.
